  • Classes for Spring Long session run the full term beginning in the first week and ending in the last week of Spring term.
  • Subterms: Two "Seven Week sessions" and four "Three Week sessions" are available.calendar dates and deadlines are listed under Spring 2022 subterms at the end of this section.

January 3—Monday

New Year's Day (Observed)—College closed.

January 4—Tuesday

Payment of tuition due for advance registered students for Spring 2022.

January 14—Friday

Award date of January degrees and certificates. No ceremony. (All grades for incomplete or missing coursework must be submitted by this date in order for degrees to be awarded with this date.)

January 17—Monday (12:00 noon)

Winter Intersession grades due to the Office of the Registrar by 12:00 noon.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Observed)—College closed.

January 18—Tuesday

Classes begin for spring.

January 18 - 24—Tuesday - Monday

Late Online Registration Add/Drop Period—Office of the Registrar, Wilbur Arts Center (Full payment of tuition and fees required. (Students with classes scheduled to meet once-a-week for the first time on January 24, 2022, will have until January 25, 2022 to correct their schedules if needed.)

January 25—Tuesday

Withdrawal Period Begins: A grade of "WA" will be assigned from January 25, 2022, until March 9, 2022, or the midpoint of subterms. From March 10, 2022, to May, 6, 2022, a "WA" or "WF", grade may be assigned. ("WA" grades are not computed in GPA. "WF" Grades are computed as failure in "GPA".) Faculty enter withdrawal grades online for their courses with Last Date of Attendance, if requested or if a student stops attending a class. 

January 25—Tuesday

Registration for auditors, PRIME (age 62 and over) and alumni auditors through the Office of the Registrar.MILL members make arrangements through the Director of Special Programs.

January 26—Wednesday

Incompletes for Fall 2021 and Winter Intersession 2022 become "F."

February 1—Tuesday

Deadline for submitting online health and accident insurance waivers for new full-time undergraduate students.

February 1—Tuesday

Last day to declare a course Pass/Fail.

February 21—Monday

Presidents’ day—College closed.

February 23—Wednesday

Monday classes held on this day.

March 1—Tuesday

Deadline for filing application for graduation for August 2022.

March 7 - April 13—Monday - Wednesday

Early registration and advisement begins for continuing matriculated students for Summer 2022 and Fall 2022. Newly accepted Graduate and new Doctoral students may be registered by their Schools. Registration times are by assigned times for Web Groups. Details will be posted in the Lion's Den Portal.

March 9—Wednesday

Mid-semester appraisals due.

March 10—Thursday

Withdrawal Period Continues: A grade of "WA" will be assigned from January 25, 2022, until March 9, 2022, or the midpoint of subterms. From March 10, 2022, to May, 6, 2022, a "WA" or "WF", grade may be assigned. ("WA" grades are not computed in GPA. "WF" Grades are computed as failure in "GPA".) Spring Recess—No classes (College offices will remain open.)

April 13—Wednesday

Early registration for continuing matriculated students ends. Registration will continue as On-going Registration and be open to newly accepted undergraduate students on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. All 'reserved" courses for Summer of Fall must be approved by the advisor by April 22, 2022. Dropped students may register for open seats if available.

April 14 - 18—Thursday - Monday

Easter Recess—College closed.

April 19—Tuesday

Founders’ Day—College closed. Honors Convocation—7:30 pm.

April 20—Wednesday

Summer course tuition and fees are due. After this date, full payment is due within one business day for all registrations and all in-person. Summer registration is available in-person until the first two days of the term. (See summer calendar for specific dates.)

April 20—Wednesday

Registration for Fall is on-going for continuing students in-person and online with advisor clearance will be available. Non-degree or non-matriculated undergraduates may register. New transfer students entering in Fall must have confirmed with Admissions and will be given appointments for advisement and registration. New freshmen beginning in the Fall will be registered in Learning Communities by Admissions.

April 22—Friday

All Summer 'reserved' courses not approved by the advisor will be dropped after this date. Online registrations allowed until the first day of Summer sessions. (See each subterm in Summer calendar.)

May 2—Monday

Last day that classes meet on regular schedule. Snow Makeup dates, If needed begin on May 3, 2022, through through May 6, 2022. The college will then follow the Final Examination/Last Class Meeting schedule between May 7, 2022 through May 13, 2022, as announced in Lion's Den portal.

May 3, 4, 5, 6—Tuesday - Friday

Snow make-up days, if necessary, otherwise Study Days.

May 6—Friday

Final examination or last class meeting. (See separate final examination schedule) for Spring semester classes.

May 13—Friday

May 13, 2022 will be the recorded award date and exit date for May 2022 degrees and certificates. Deadline for any outstanding incomplete or missing work for students graduating with a May degree award date is May 13, 2022.

May 16—Monday (9:00 am)

All students’ grades due in Office of the Registrar 48 hours after each last class or final examination: last date for all submissions.

Pinning, Hooding, Alumni and Commencement Events and Ceremonies —TBA
