MUS 5270 Culturally Informed Music Therapy

(formerly MUS 527; Survey of World Music)

Students will explore music from a variety of cultures and continents such as Asia, Africa, West Indies, North America and South America. Students will learn about musical styles and native instruments. Scales, idioms and styles of music will be studied in-depth. Students will develop competent cross-cultural therapy skills.
