ESL 1550 Advanced Reading/Writing
(formerly ESL 155)
This course is designed to help advanced students polish their reading strategies for processing texts. Skill areas include inferencing, critical analysis, predicting and evaluating points of view, and reading between the lines. The course provides students with a variety of text types such as summary, critique, argument and fiction. There is special emphasis on the organization, style and accuracy of academic writing and editing and correcting one's writing.
