HIS 2600 Low Countries at the Crossroads of European History
(formerly HIS 260)
A history of the Low Countries (Belgium and the Netherlands) from the 1st through the 20th centuries. Particular emphasis will be placed upon the golden ages of Flanders in the 16th century and the Netherlands in the 17th century and the impact of the Reformation and of the two world wars on the development of the Low Countries. Course includes overseas travel. Approval of Global Learning Office required.
