SPA 2010 Beginning Spanish III

(formerly SPA 201; Intermediate Spanish; SPA 135; Spanish for Communication)

Spanish 2010 is the last course in a sequence of three beginning courses (SPA 1010, 1020, and 2010) designed to reinforce and expand the necessary communication skills acquired in previous courses in order to begin to achieve the next step towards communicative proficiency (Intermediate-Low). Students will be able to accomplish real-world communicative tasks in culturally appropriate ways as they gain familiarity with and understanding of products, practices, and perspectives of Hispanic culture(s). Students will learn grammar, vocabulary, and structures to enable them to meet functional performance goals at the Novice-High/Intermediate-Low level in listening, speaking, reading and writing as they build a foundation for continued language learning.
