Summer Session Long 2024

Note: Classes for Summer Long generally meet once or twice a week for fourteen weeks, unless otherwise announced in the course schedule.

All classes needing 14 meetings will meet alternative additional dates for two sessions. All Monday classes needing 14 meetings will schedule 2 make-up dates - TBD by professor. There will be no Monday classes the first week of term or on Memorial Day.

May 21—Tuesday

Classes begin for Summer Long.

May 22—Wednesday

Last day to add a course. Online Registration Open—Office of Registrar. Full payment of tuition and fees required.

May 23—Thursday

Last day to drop a course with a full refund of "tuition only". After this date, students may withdraw from a course in Summer Long with a grade of “WA” until July 8.

May 27—Monday

Memorial Day—No classes. Offices closed. (Monday classes will schedule an alternative day for a make-up class TBD by professor.)

May 31—Friday

Last day to declare a course Pass/Fail for Summer Long.

June 19—Wednesday

Juneteenth—No classes. Offices closed.

July 4—Thursday

Independence Day—No classes. Offices closed.

Note: Thursday classes will schedule an alternative day for a make-up class - TBD by professor.

July 8—Monday

Last day to withdraw from a course that runs the whole term in Summer Long with a grade of "WA". Withdrawals after this date will result in a grade of "WA" or "WF" at the discretion of the faculty member until the day before the last class meeting or the final examination. (This last date of classes will vary for Summer Session Long courses that run less than 14 weeks depending on course end date.)  "WF" grades are computed as failure in GPA.

July 12 – August 30—Summer Fridays

University offices are closed Fridays in the summer.

Last Day to Withdraw

Last day to withdraw from a course in Summer Session Long with a “WA” or “WF” will vary. For courses that do not run the full summer. This date used will be the day before the last class meeting or the final examination.

Final Exams

Final examination or last class meeting for Summer Long classes that run less than 14 weeks will vary depending upon the end date of the course.
