Thesis Option in the Speech-Language Pathology Program
Students may elect to complete a thesis in place of taking the comprehensive examination. The written policy pertaining to the option may be obtained from the Associate Dean/Program Director in Speech-Language Pathology. Students opting to obtain a Thesis Option Agreement from the Associate Dean/Program Director must submit the completed form no later than the Fall semester of the first year in the graduate program. Students electing to complete a thesis project will be assigned a faculty advisor for their project. Requirements for graduation will not be met until the thesis project is complete and a final defended thesis is submitted to, and approved by the student's assigned faculty advisor. Students who fail to meet the predetermined deadline for approval of the final thesis will alternatively take the comprehensive examination.
