ECO 3310 Labor Economics

A study of labor market concepts from the perspectives of consumer and firm choices, with a focus on the influence of government policies. The major variables of wages, employment, and productivity are assessed from micro and macro viewpoints. The course highlights the social and political forces that gave rise to labor unions and the impact of collective bargaining. The drivers of unemployment and income distribution are also covered.
