HSL 4040 Financial Management in Healthcare Organization

This course is designed to introduce students to cost accounting and management control concepts and uses for health services organizations. The first part of the course develops a basic knowledge of cost accounting. The remainder of the course focuses on management control structure and process and addresses topics such as responsibility accounting, budgeting, reporting and variance analysis. Case studies are used where appropriate.
