SPA 1010 Beginning Spanish I

Spanish 1010 is the first course in a sequence of three beginning courses (SPA 1010, 1020, 2010) designed to initiate the students in the basic structures and vocabulary to begin to develop their communication skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing as they build a foundation for continued language learning. Students will be able to accomplish real-world communicative tasks in culturally appropriate ways as they gain familiarity with and understanding of products, practices, and perspectives of Hispanic culture(s). Students will met functional performance goals at the novice-low level. SPA 1010 is intended for students with little or no previous experience in the language.
