"Undeclared" major refers to a student who has not yet decided on or declared a major. Choosing a major is made following a student’s values interests and professional goals. Advisors at Molloy will work with undeclared students to help determine options for the best courses to pursue depending on the students' interests. The university has resources available, including a Career Center and Eight Semester Plans in the portal for planning courses for all programs of study.
To graduate in four years, it is recommended students select a major early. Some majors require prerequisites for progression. Some required courses may only be offered in Fall or Spring.
Undeclared majors follow the General Education requirements for the Liberal Arts and Sciences program, while exploring courses of interest.
Students must declare a major by their third year or when they have achieved 60 or more credits.
