Note:

  • Classes for Spring Long session run the full term beginning in the first week and ending in the last week of Spring term.
  • Subterms: Two "Seven Week sessions" and four "Three Week sessions" are available.
  • Calendar dates and deadlines are listed under Spring Subterms at the end of this section.

January 1—Wednesday

New Year's Day—Offices closed.

January 2—Thursday

Payment of tuition due for advance registered students for Spring.

January 10—Friday

Award date of January degrees and certificates. No ceremony. (All grades for incomplete or missing coursework must be submitted by this date in order for degrees to be awarded with this date.)

January 13—Monday

Winter Intersession grades due to the Office of the Registrar.

January 13—Monday

Classes begin for Spring.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day—Offices closed.

January 17—Friday

Last date to Add a course. Reserved courses must be approved by this date. Full payment of tuition and fees is required.

January 19—Sunday

Last date to Drop a course online. Students may do so without advisor approval.

January 21—Tuesday

Change of Programs requests must be received and approved by this date to go into effect for Spring. Any required interviews, auditions, portfolios or documentation must be reviewed and approved in advance of this date. Late submissions will be considered effective in Fall term next year. Program information is used to verify pursuit of program compliance and to assess Program Fees.

January 22—Wednesday

Withdrawal Period Begins: A grade of "WA" will be assigned from January 22 until March 3 or the midpoint of subterms. From March 4 to May 2 a "WA" or "WF", grade may be assigned. ("WA" grades are not computed in GPA. "WF" Grades are computed as failure in "GPA".) Faculty enter withdrawal grades online for their courses with Last Date of Attendance, if requested or if a student stops attending a class. 

January 22—Wednesday

Registration for auditors, PRIME (age 62 and over) and alumni auditors through the Office of the Registrar. MILL members make arrangements through the Director of Special Programs.

Incompletes for Fall and Winter Intersession become "F."

February 1—Saturday

Deadline for submitting online health and accident insurance waivers for new full-time undergraduate students.

February 1—Saturday

Last day to declare a course Pass/Fail.

February 17—Monday

Presidents’ Day—No classes. Offices closed.

February 19—Wednesday

Monday classes held on this day.

March 1—Saturday

Deadline for filing application for graduation for August.

March 4—Tuesday

Mid-semester appraisals due.

March 10 - April 16—Monday - Wednesday

Early registration and advisement begins for continuing matriculated students for Summer and Fall. Newly accepted Graduate and new Doctoral students may be registered by their Schools. Registration times are by assigned times for Web Groups. Details will be posted in the Lion's Den Portal.

March 17 - 23—Monday - Sunday

Spring Recess—No classes (Offices will remain open.)

April 15—Tuesday

Founders’ Day—Offices closed.

April 16—Wednesday

Early registration for continuing matriculated students ends. Registration will continue as On-going Registration . All 'reserved" courses for Summer or Fall must be approved by the advisor. Dropped students may register for open seats if available.

April 17 - April 21—Thursday - Monday

Easter Recess—Offices closed.

April 22—Tuesday

Registration for Fall is on-going for continuing students in-person and online with advisor clearance. Non-degree or non-matriculated undergraduates may register. New transfer students entering in Fall must have confirmed with Admissions and will be given appointments for advisement and registration. New freshmen beginning in the Fall will be registered in Learning Communities by Admissions.

April 22—Tuesday

Summer course tuition and fees are due. After this date, full payment is due within one business day for all registrations and all in-person. Summer registration is available in-person until the first two days of the term. (See summer calendar for specific dates.) All Summer 'reserved' courses not approved by the advisor will be dropped after this date. Online registrations allowed until the first day of Summer sessions. (See each subterm in Summer calendar.)

April 28—Monday

Last day that classes meet on regular schedule.

April 29 - May 2—Tuesday - Friday

Snow Make-Up Days, if necessary, otherwise Study Days.

May 2—Friday

Final examination or last class meeting. Refer to schedule as posted in Lion's Den portal.

May 9—Friday

May 9 will be the recorded award date and exit date for May degrees and certificates. Deadline for any outstanding incomplete or missing work for students graduating with a May degree award date is May 9.

May 12—Monday

All students’ grades due in Office of the Registrar 48 hours after each last class or final examination. All grades must be recorded.

Pinning, Hooding, Alumni and Commencement Events and Ceremonies —TBA

The Office of Student Affairs will announce these events and ceremonies through the Molloy University website. The Event Calendar will also have details.
