Education Doctoral Program Philosophy

The doctoral program reflects the mission of the School of Education and Human Services, which is rooted in the Dominican tradition of study, spirituality, service, and community and values intellectual, ethical, spiritual, and social development in an environment where academic freedom, a spirit of inquiry and respect for each individual’s worth and dignity prevail. It expands on the existing education programs at Molloy University, including undergraduate, graduate, and post-master’s programs and provides additional educational opportunities to address emerging professional and societal needs. The comprehensive, rigorous, and research-based curriculum is designed to prepare doctoral graduates to act as contemporary educational leaders in diverse environments with a focus on social justice and advocacy for equitable education in its broadest sense.
