BIO 4800 Research in Biology I

Biology Majors undertake a research project that entails refining an experimental design, laboratory work, data collection and data analysis. Library research and preliminary experimental design must be completed in BIO 2570. Student groups established in BIO 2570 will continue to investigate the identified problem or question. Students will be instructed in basic laboratory and research methods during the progression and completion of their research project. Dissemination and defense of scientific results will take place in BIO 4910. Research undertaken off-campus will require the prior approval of both a faculty mentor and the Departmental Chairperson.

BIO 2570 and Junior standing. BIO 4800 is a prerequisite for BIO 4810.
