Mission

The Mission of the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department is to provide students with an understanding of human communication and disorders of communication. The department's goal is to prepare graduates to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, ethical practice and take positions of leadership within the professional community.

The goal of the undergraduate program in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology (SLP/A) is to provide students with a basic knowledge of speech and language development, understand the physiological basis of communication, and possess knowledge of disorders of communication. Students will receive the preparation necessary to pursue graduate education and a variety of career opportunities.
