ART 4600 Art Internship I

The Art Internship provides an opportunity for the student to gain practical paid or unpaid experience as an apprentice with an individual practicing artist (painter, sculptor, photographer, digital artist), art gallery or museum that meets the department’s approval, or under the supervision in a business or workshop approved by the faculty. A written report of the experience will be required as well as an evaluation of the student by the artist, gallery or museum supervisor, workshop or business. Students will spend at least 100 hours at the internship site for each 3 credits of internship. The faculty supervisor will hold a minimum of four class sessions (In person or via Zoom), will oversee assignments and will be responsible for the final evaluation of student work.
