COM 1150 Introduction to Digital Literacies

(formerly NMD 1100)

This course introduces students to the history, technology, and critical concepts central to the study of digital literacy. Students will explore skills necessary to participate in digital life and learn what it means to apply digital tools  in the context of humanistic inquiry. Students will use digital tools by producing personal and professional projects and interrogate histories of digital tools and their development. Students' work will culminate in an e-portfolio of their own design. A significant portion (at least 50%) is formal oral presentation work.
