SWK 3100 Experiential Learning in Social Work
Students will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience and insight into the field of social work and human services through a structured agency observation. This social work experience is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the roles, responsibilities and challenges encountered in various human services settings. This observational experience will allow students to observe a social worker and/or human service professional in action and gain exposure to the diverse populations served by social workers and human service professionals. Students will be supervised by department personnel and by cooperating personnel in the organization to which they are attached during the Social work learning experience.
