Art Collections, Gallery and Exhibitions
Molloy University Archives collects, preserves, and provides access to resources documenting the history, growth, and achievements of Molloy. These records chronicle Molloy's story, beginning in the early 1930s when the Dominican Sisters first began to plan and save for a Catholic women's college to the present day. The Archives maintains valuable historical records, photographic collections, manuscript collections, and rare books, including a facsimile edition of the Saint John’s Bible. These collections are available to students and faculty for individual research and as teaching tools.
The Molloy University Art Gallery provides a venue that supports both student exhibitions and promotes Long Island arts organizations. It has exhibited a variety of nationally and internationally renowned artists. The university’s permanent art collection includes paintings, prints, photography, and sculpture by modern and contemporary artists. Artwork that is not on display can be made available for classroom discussion and research projects. For more information about the Art Gallery and the collection, please contact Francesca Antonello, Art Collection Coordinator, ext. 4737.
