Student Health Services
Molloy Health Services is committed to the health and wellbeing of the students. We are a safe and confidential office that is here to support the student’s physical health during their attendance at Molloy. Health Services staff engages students through consultation and health promoting education. We provide care for minor health problems, referrals to health care providers and information regarding how to access student medical insurance information. Health Services collects immunization records for all incoming students in the Molloy University's Health Portal, www.molloy.studenthealthportal.com.
Health Services is in the Wilbur Arts Center room 103B. The office is open from 9am-7pm Monday- Thursday and Friday 9am-5pm during the semester. Summer hours are 9am-5pm. In case of an emergency, contact Public Safety at 516.323.3500.
Please Note - For students planning to reside on campus:
All students planning to live on campus in the residence halls MUST upload the required immunizations, physical exam within the last 12 months from the beginning of the semester, complete the Tuberculosis Screening form, and complete the Health History & Assessment form in the Molloy Health Portal 1 week prior to their move in date. All resident students are required to have the following immunizations: two doses of Measles, 1 Mumps, and 1 Rubella, a meningitis ACWY vaccine within the last 5 years or completed a 2-3 dose Meningitis B vaccine, and flu vaccine for the current flu season.
For All Students:
As mandated by New York State Public Health Law #2165, all undergraduate full-time or part-time, matriculated, and non-matriculated students attending classes, who are born on or after January 1, 1957, are required to upload proof of immunity either by immunization record or lab results to measles, mumps and rubella. All students MUST have 2 measles, 1 mumps, and 1 rubella vaccination or positive titer lab results.
COMMUTER STUDENTS ONLY:
New York State Public Health Law # 2167 requires the University to distribute information to all students about meningococcal disease and the availability of vaccination. Immunization records and acknowledgment form concerning meningitis.
All required forms can be found in the Molloy Health Portal at www.molloy.studenthealthportal.com in the MY FORMS section of the portal.
The American College Health Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), recommend all students entering college receive two doses of MMR vaccine, (measles, mumps, and rubella), a current tetanus-diphtheria vaccine, the hepatitis B vaccine series, meningococcal vaccine, chicken pox vaccine (if not immune) and influenza vaccine. All entering students are encouraged to have a complete physical exam and Tuberculin test.
Molloy University has arranged to make available a Student Medical Insurance Plan. All full-time undergraduate students at Molloy University are automatically charged for this coverage. Enrollment in this plan is mandatory for all full-time undergraduate students. If a student elects to waive this coverage, the student must complete the waiver form via the internet in the Lion's Den Student Portal at https://lionsden.molloy.edu/ics or from the Allen J. Flood website at https:/mystudentmedical.com. Waiver notifications must be filed by October 1st each Fall, to avoid the annual charge. Students entering for the first time in the spring, must file the waiver notification by February 1st.
Part-time undergraduate students, taking and maintaining a minimum of 6 credits, can request enrollment in the insurance plan. To enroll, students must complete the enrollment form found on the Allen J. Flood Companies, Inc. website at: www.mystudentmedical.com. Payment for the insurance plan is the responsibility of the part-time student. Please call the insurance company to verify that they received your e-mail enrollment.
