CIS 1120 Introduction to Web Design and Development
This course provides an introduction to the design and development of web applications using HTML, CSS, and an industry-standard JavaScript library such as React. Topics include client-side routing, modularization with components, selectors, inheritance, the box model, page flow, page validation, media, multi-column layout techniques, data fetching, and the fundamentals of responsive web design. Throughout the course, there will be an emphasis on code maintainability through the use of modular components and the separation of structure and presentation. Students will be creating their own web application that adheres to the principles and guidelines taught throughout the course.
