Note: Classes for Spring Long session run the full term beginning in the first week and ending in the last week of Spring term.

Subterms: Two "Seven Week sessions" and four "Three Week sessions" are available. Calendar dates and deadlines are listed under Spring 2021 Subterms at the end of this section.

January 1—Friday

New Year's Day (Observed)—College closed.

January 5—Tuesday

Payment of tuition due for advance registered students for Spring 2021.

January 15—Friday

Award date of January degrees and certificates. No ceremony. (All grades for incomplete or missing coursework must be submitted by this date in order for degrees to be awarded with this date.)

January 18—Monday

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Observed)—College closed.

January 19—Tuesday Noon

Winter Intersession grades due to the Office of the Registrar by 12:00 noon.

January 19—Tuesday

Classes begin for Spring.

January 25—Monday

Last date to Add/Drop a course. Online Registration Open —Office of the Registrar. (Students with classes scheduled to meet once-a-week for the first time on January 25, 2021, will have until January 26, 2021 to correct their schedules if needed.)

January 26—Tuesday

Withdrawal Period: A grade of "WA" will be assigned from January 26, 2021, until February 26, 2021, or the midpoint of subterms. From February 26, 2021, to April 30, 2021, a "WA" or "WF" grade may be assigned. ("WA" grades are not computed in GPA. "WF" grades are computed as failure in GPA.) Faculty enter withdrawal grades online for their courses with Last Date of Attendance, if requested or if a student stops attending a class.

January 26—Tuesday

Registration for auditors, PRIME (age 62 and over) and alumni auditors—Office of the Registrar, Wilbur Arts Center. MILL members make arrangements through the Director of Special Programs.

January 28—Thursday

Incomplete grades for Fall 2020 and Winter Intersession 2021 become "F."

February 1—Monday

Deadline for submitting online Health and Accident Insurance waivers for new full-time undergraduate students.

February 1—Monday

Last day to declare a course Pass/Fail.

February 15—Monday

Presidents’ Day—College closed.

February 17—Wednesday

Monday classes held on this day.

February 26—Friday

Deadline for filing application for graduation for August 2021.

March 1 - 31—Monday - Wednesday

Early registration and advisement begins for continuing matriculated students for Summer 2022 and Fall 2022. Newly accepted Graduate and new Doctoral students may be registered by their Schools. Registration times are by assigned times for Web Groups. Details will be posted in the Lion's Den Portal.

March 19—Friday

No classes. Offices open. (All Friday classes will have a make-up day on Tuesday, April 27.)

March 31—Wednesday

Last date to register early for Summer. Any Summer "reserved" courses not approved by the advisor are subject to being dropped on April 9, 2021.

April 1 - 5—Thursday - Monday

Easter Recess—College closed.

April 6—Tuesday

Classes resume.

April 6—Tuesday

Registration for Fall is on-going for continuing students in-person and advisor clearance will be available. Non-degree or non-matriculated undergraduates and new freshman and new transfers for fall may register in-person. New students entering in the Fall must be confirmed by Admissions and will be given appointments for advisement and registration. New first year students will be preregistered by Admissions for learning communities.

April 9—Friday

All Summer "reserved" courses not approved by the advisor are subject to being dropped after this date. Online registrations allowed until the Add/Drop periods end at the beginning of Summer sessions. Dropped students may register for open seats, if available. (See dates for each term in Summer Academic Calendar.)

April 9—Friday

Summer course tuition and fees are due. After this date, full payment is due within one business day of registration.

April 20—Tuesday

Founders’ Day—College closed. Honors Convocation—7:30 pm.

April 26—Monday

Last day that classes meet on regular schedule. Tuesday, April 27 is designated as a Friday Make-up Day.

April 27—Tuesday

Friday classes held on this day, as a planned Make-Up Day for Friday, March 19.

April 28, 29, 30—Wednesday - Friday

Snow Make-Up Days, if necessary, otherwise Study Days.

April 30—Friday

May 7—Friday

May 7, 2021 will be the recorded award date and exit date for May 2021 degrees and certificates. Deadline for any outstanding incomplete or missing work for students graduating with a May degree award date is May 7, 2021.

May 10—Monday Noon

All students’ grades due in Office of the Registrar 48 hours after each last class or final examination: Deadline for all submissions.

May 18—Tuesday
