MUS 1580 Introduction to Music Therapy
(formerly MUS 158)
An overview of the field of music therapy with emphasis on the historical and theoretical foundations for the use of music as a therapeutic medium. Theory will be combined with experiential activities to illustrate the role of music in people's lives, as well as the rehabilitative and healing properties for those with special needs. For Music Therapy majors or with permission of the Chairperson.
