NUR 6503 Creative Teaching: Strategies and Technology

This one credit course incorporates foundational concepts and focuses on the development of a repertoire of creative methodologies and effective use of technology for education. Emphasis is placed on implementation of methods to foster a spirit of inquiry in the adult learner in diverse educational venues including classroom, clinical and distance learning. Specific content areas include the application of teaching-learning theory, the use of technology and the arts in teaching, legal and ethical implications of technology and current research in nursing education. One credit is delivered as 15 lecture hours per semester in a non-traditional format. It is the third course in a series of one credit modules but has no Pre-or Co-requisites.
