Programs for APRN Clinical Specialty Areas M.S.

The APRN Clinical Specialty courses focusing on Adult Gerontology, Primary or Acute Care, Pediatric, Family, Family Psychiatric Mental Health, and Clinical Nurse Specialist are structured to enable students to assess physical and mental health conditions, diagnose illnesses, to perform therapeutic measures and to foster high levels of health through promotion, prevention, and self-care.

Note: Students will be evaluated for clinical competencies after completing their minimum number of clinical hours (580) for Adult Primary and Acute, Pediatrics, and Family Psychiatric Mental Health (715) for Family and (500) for CNS. Additional practicum hours may be required. Practicum: Primary Care IV (NUR 5970) will fill this need (credits and clinical hours vary according to individual need.)
