CRJ 2270 Violence and Aggression

(formerly CRJ 227)

This course introduces the student to the evolving methods, patterns and meanings of violence and aggression and the theories that address them. It examines individual and collective forms of violence in home, school, street, mob and military situations. It analyzes the functions of the criminal justice system in anticipating, preventing, containing and controlling acts of violence and aggression.
