MUS 5270 Culturally Informed Music Therapy
Students will explore music from a variety of cultures and continents such as Asia, Africa, West Indies, North America and South America. Students will learn about musical styles and native instruments. Scales, idioms and styles of music will be studied in-depth. Students will develop cross-cultural therapy skills, as well as an understanding of anti-oppressive and anti-racist practices in music therapy.
