CRJ 5100 Violence in American Society

Violence has become commonplace to Americans. One only has to watch the evening news to be bombarded by images of murder, rape, robbery, assault, and other violent crimes. This course will explore why American society, in particular, is so violent. This course will examine this violence through case studies including: workplace violence, relationship violence, child abuse, organizational violence, school violence, gang violence, militia violence, serial killers, and other types of violence.
