ENG 2114 Women Writers

This course explores literary works written by women across various genres and time periods. By reading a broad array of British and American literature including novels, drama, autobiography, short story, and poetry, students will explore the trajectory of women's participation in literature and discover the complex ways women writers claimed authorship. We will pay attention to the evolving role of women and the historical and cultural contexts that prompted these works.
