Residency Requirements - Transfer Work
All students must complete at least one-half of their major and minor degree requirements at Molloy University. Additionally, the last 30 credits of an undergraduate degree must be taken at Molloy. This is referred to as Molloy’s residency requirement.
Exceptions to the residency requirement must be made in writing by the Departmental Chairperson with the approval of the School Dean and the Provost for Academic Affairs.
For students participating in approved Study Abroad courses during their last year in college, graduation review will be completed once final official transcripts are received. Graduation may be deferred if the receipt of the official study abroad transcript is after the term’s degree conferral date.
Only credit hours, not grades, are accepted in transfer, and they are based upon the minimum grade required. Cumulative grade point averages for new transfers to Molloy begin with the first semester of grades recorded at Molloy and exclude transfer work.
