Expected Progression through the Ph.D. Program

Expected progression through the Ph.D. program in CSD would involve the completion of the following milestones:

• Establishing a faculty mentor

  Identification of a faculty mentor during the first semester in the program who will serve as an advisor to the student in conjunction with the Program Director until the Dissertation Committee is identified and instituted.

• Completion of required coursework

All students in the program will be required to take a minimum of 35 credits of coursework and complete five credits of Research work. See details provided in section 7. Coursework.
