EDU 6280A Preparing for the Comprehensive Exam
This doctoral seminar guides students in preparing and presenting artifacts and a writing sample to complete their comprehensive exams and demonstrate their readiness to begin the dissertation process. Students will explore their worldview, orientation to research, and positionality. Then they will craft a leadership journey essay and compile artifacts showcasing their academic and professional growth. Through revisiting past coursework and readings, they will deeply reflect on their development as scholars and leaders. Designed as a companion to EDU 6280, this course provides opportunities for students to articulate their scholarly journey as leaders with a social justice orientation. ** This course will be graded as a Pass/Fail.
