Certification with NY State is for Dual Initial Certification in English 7-12 and TESOL PreK-12.
We do not accept teaching experience to count towards the Apprentice course (30 observation hours in a high-needs district) required in an initial certification program.
Please note that students must check the catalog or status sheet and with their advisors for course requirements before registration.
Prerequisite for this program: 12 credits or equivalent in the study of a language other than English.
