Certification with NY State is for Initial Certification Educational Technology Specialist PreK-12.
We do not accept teaching experience to count towards the Apprentice course (30 observation hours in a high-needs district) required in an initial certification program.

If you are in an Educational Technology (EdTech) Initial program while you are earning an initial certification in EdTech, please check with a potential district administrator/employer for an additional requirement to teach in this area.
Prerequisite for this program: Bachelor's degree.
