NUR 5401 Advanced Practice Nursing Leadership

This course provides an in-depth examination of contemporary issues and trends shaping today’s complex and rapidly evolving healthcare environment. Students analyze interprofessional relationships; organizational systems; complex adaptive thinking; change management; and principles of diversity, belonging, and inclusion. Legal, regulatory, ethical decision-making, and governance structures are explored to support effective and accountable leadership practice. Throughout the course, students engage in critical self-reflection to evaluate and enhance their leadership competencies. The course includes a clinical practicum to facilitate application of course concepts in a supervised practice setting.
