NUR 5681 PNP: Practicum in Primary Care III

This clinical course focuses on the comprehensive role of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care. Students, in preceptored situations with PNPs or Pediatricians, provide case management services to coordinate care and meet multiple client health care needs. Emphasis is placed on the multidimensional role of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care. Clinical activities are designed to further develop advanced level competencies in the provision of care, advocacy, teaching, consulting and counseling, case management, research, leadership and change agent (Pass/Fail Practicum). Seminar and 200 clinical hours/semester.
