NUR 5055 Advances in Pathopharmacology

This course examines recent developments in the understanding of normal and abnormal cellular function and the related pharmacological therapies developed for use in the treatment of common disease states.  Universal pathophysiological concepts, such as genetics and, immune function will be integrated with new research findings and new pharmacological therapies. The nurse educator student will demonstrate the ability to interpret, describe, and share this information in a professional setting.  The nurse educator student will examine the ethical, regulatory and legal implications of providing care, including access, cost effectiveness and safety.
