Nursing PhD Doctoral Dissertation Guidelines

The Doctoral Dissertation is the final requirement of the PhD program. The students will work in close contact with a Committee Chair and at least two additional members of the Dissertation Committee who oversee the development of the dissertation. The Doctoral Dissertation should be a well-conceived and well-written research study that establishes the basis for the doctoral candidate's research program. The proposal is approved by the Committee following the successful defense of the presented document. The final completed dissertation is publicly defended and published with ProQuest for wide dissemination. The policies and procedures required for the successful acceptance of the completed dissertation are described in the Nursing Doctoral Program Handbook and the Nursing Doctoral Dissertation Guidelines.
