NUR 5383 CNS Practicum: Nurse's Sphere of Impact
This practicum course immerses Clinical Nurse Specialist students in a clinical setting with a certified CNS preceptor so the entire CNS role can be observed and experienced. Through daily clinical log/reflective journal process, the advanced practice approach to direct patient care is explored and honed. Readings and assignments for this practicum support further development of CNS communication, clinical assessment, problem-solving, planning, and interventions skills for complex clinical situations at the advanced practice level.
