EDU 5640 Developing Reflective Research in Diverse Classroom

In preparation for the thesis capstone project, students learn how to develop a research proposal outlining all aspects of the planned work. The course aims to enhance students' capacity to plan independent research and communicate this proposal in written and oral formats.  Upon completing the course, students will be able to distinguish between qualitative and quantitative methodologies, identify the relevant theories for their line of research, articulate their topic, and author a proposal. Both whole class instruction and individual consultations with the instructor will be scheduled.
