EDU 5276 Assessment, Diagnosis and Evaluation of Students with Disabilities

This course will provide teachers/teacher candidates with the conceptual background necessary to assess, diagnose and evaluate students with disabilities. Participants will survey and interpret frequently used assessment tools and informal assessment procedures. The assessment process will consider methods of managing student data and recognizing areas of bias. This course will survey the relationship of formal and informal assessment tools and strategies to New York State Learning Standards and all New York State Learning Standards.
