EDU 5486 Pre-Student Teaching TESOL PK-12 Field Experiences in Inclusive Classrooms (70 hours)
Teacher candidates are required to participate in field experiences of observation and participation upon entry into the program. This observation/participation experience must be in the PK-12 ENL classroom in which the candidate is preparing for certification. Candidates engage in reflection and discussion re: their observations and are evaluated by cooperating teachers and Molloy University faculty supervisors who are certified in ESOL, the area of the candidate’s field experience. Successful completion of the Apprentice Field Experience is required before acceptance into the Pre-Professional Experience prior to Student Teaching. Teacher Candidates are required to observe in a high-needs area as determined by NYSED. (This experience must be fulfilled prior to registering for EDU 5486, 5552, 5554, and 5504. (Pass/Fail)
